Water Main Break Forces Closure of Oxford Valley Mall, Sesame Place

Water authority crews were scrambling Thursday evening to repair a broken water main and restore full service to thousands of Middletown residents and businesses, including Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place.
Despite hours of work on the scene during the day, a representative from Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority estimated Thursday afternoon that the pipe would not be repaired until about midnight.
“Right now we are looking at trench full of water,” said Mark Pizzo, director of operations for the authority. “Once that is cleared, I’ll be able to get down there and look at the extent of the damage. We’ll cut a new piece of pipe and fit it in place…” (Read the full story)
