STRAITS OF MACKINAC (WPBN/WGTU) — Enbridge has received approval from the Michigan Circuit Court to restart the east leg of the Line 5 Pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac.
The entire pipeline had to be shut down back in June when a support on the east leg was damaged.
An in-house report obtained from the Associated Press said the damage may have been done by vessels working for the company.
According to the Canadian energy company, the east leg passed inspection and no integrity issues were found.
