Trey Benincosa, Ph.D.

Principal Engineer, Gas Technology Institute

Dr. Benincosa has quickly established a career of working with industrial partners to develop and implement new technologies into industry. He is currently assisting in the development and implementation of technologies inclusive of live-gas pipeline 3D mapping, hydrogen energy delivery, smart natural gas safety shut-off devices, and vacuum extraction technologies. Prior to GTI he spent 3 years at the U.S. Department of Energy/National Energy Technology Laboratory through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education program. He has a Doctorate degree from West Virginia University and Bachelor’s degree from Miami University; both in Chemical Engineering.
