Marti Lucore is a Senior Project Manager in the Projects and Restoration Branch at the New Orleans District, Corps of Engineers. Ms. Lucore earned her BS from LSU in 1987 and her MBA from the University of New Orleans in 1990. She joined the New Orleans District in the Project Management Office in 1991and later earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification in 2001 from the International Project Management Institute. In 2012, she earned her Master Project Manager (MPM) certification from the American Academy of Project Managers. She has managed several major flood control projects and currently oversees the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway project. Her team is also managing 3 navigation studies and 3 navigation construction projects, most notably the Mississippi River deepening project. Other activities with the Corps over the years include serving as House Captain for Rebuilding Together, participating on the Corps MS Tour team and running the Corps annual tennis tournament. She is married with 3 quadrapeds running the household.
