Dora Parks has been in the damage prevention business for 29 years with One Call Concepts, Inc. Moving from thirteen years of contract locating to the Miss Utility call center servicing Maryland, Delaware and District of Columbia. Dora held the position of General Manager for the Maryland, District of Columbia, New Jersey and Delmarva service territories. Since 2011, Dora has worked in client relations, damage prevention and marketing. In this capacity, Dora serves as a liaison to thousands of contractors and utility owners in the Maryland, Delaware and District of Columbia promoting and supporting them in damage prevention and safety initiatives.
Dora serves on various committees both locally and nationally in the position of chairperson, secretary, administrator and member to include, Damage Prevention & Safety monthly meetings, Maryland and DC law, Miss Utility Awards (locators and excavators), the Greater Chesapeake Damage Prevention Training Committee, NUCA of DC, PWCA, UCA of AA and WSMPA. Dora serves on two Boards; the MD/DC Subscribers and was elected as the first women to be nominated and elected to serve on the AUC’s Board of Directors in 2018. Dora’s passion is training, sharing the 811 message and working with children.
Dora is a Maryland resident, married for 47 years and has two beautiful grandchildren in Burlington, VT.
