Even if you are digging in your own backyard, call 811 before you dig.

You might save yourself and others a big mess.

Members of the Mountain Council of Governments heard Friday morning about the Pennsylvania One Call system, which coordinates digging activity on land and in streets where there may be utility lines so that the lines are not damaged and service is not interrupted.
