CGA’s Technology Committee Needs Your Input

CGA’s Technology Committee was formed in 2010 as a successor to the Research &  Development Committee. Its mission is to provide a forum for identifying damage prevention technologies, reviewing new technologies from all parts of the damage prevention industry and reporting on its findings to the full CGA membership.

Over the past year, the committee has been redefining its role. Historically, it looked at the collection and provision of tools to assist the industry in understanding available technologies. Now, its objective and focus has expanded to include identifying technological gaps that, if reduced, may improve efficiencies, reduce costs or reduce actual damages.

The committee intends to produce its first annual Technology Report later this year. The new report will provide a summary of key technology improvements the industry could adopt and technology challenges for the industry to solve, including a focus on the leading causes of damages as identified by the annual CGA DIRT Report.
