Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline Project Gets Permits

Pipeline News – A company building a $3 billion pipeline to carry natural gas from northeastern Pennsylvania to several southern states has been granted the permits necessary for construction. The
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental
Protection approved water-crossing permits for Williams’ Atlantic Sunrise natural gas pipeline in September. A dredging permit was also granted by the Army Corps of Engineering.

The project had opposition from climate activists and environmental groups.
