811 at the Hmongtown Marketplace

As one drives across the Minneapolis/ St. Paul, Minnesota area, it is becoming more and more common to see large gardens and small farms tended to in an urban setting. Many of these gardens and farms are owned and operated by members of a large community of Hmong Americans who have made their home in the metro area. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the largest Hmong community in the nation is located in St. Paul, with almost
30,000 residents.

forward to continued educational opportunities within this thriving community.
