Bahrain Court Sentences Culprits in Pipeline Explosion

Seven defendants were convicted by the High Criminal Court for the oil pipeline explosion in the Buri area on 10 November 2017.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the defendants were convicted on a range of charges, including establishing and joining a terrorist group, as well as handling, possession, use of explosives and detonation of a terrorist blast.
Although no one was injured during the explosion, Bahrain Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed al-Khalifa later said on Twitter the attack was designed to terrorise citizens and damage the global oil industry…(Read the full story)
