Minnesota Construction Industry Leads Job Growth

Overall employment fell a tiny bit in August in Minnesota, but nobody gave construction companies the memo.

The construction industry gained 1,700 seasonally adjusted jobs during the month, the most of any industry tracked by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

The gains came as the state labor market as a whole shed just 200 jobs after adding more than 30,000 during the previous three months, according to a DEED report released Thursday.
