Myrtle Beach’s 10-Year Plan to Underground Utility Lines, HGTC Renovations

The city is planning to continue going underground with utility lines as it approved a 10-year plan.

John Pedersen, Myrtle Beach city manager, said folks should see some work soon at Kings Highway from 3rd Avenue South to 9th Avenue South.

The next phase of moving the overhead utility lines underground wraps in with upgrades at the Horry Georgetown Technical College Grand Strand campus. He said the city will begin bidding the project within months and work should be complete within a year…(Read the full story)
