Relaxing in the cool shade of a tree on a hot summer day. There is no better place for kids, book-lovers and pets to take a break from the heat of the sun, but that tree can help your air conditioner take a break as well. A strategically-placed tree can save a homeowner up to 20% on energy costs.
And while the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, so the saying goes, the second best time is today. Black Hills Energy invites customers to plant a tree now by claiming a free tree through our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation’s Energy-Saving Trees initiative.
