Utility reinvests in water infrastructure

“A utility company has reinvested more than $1.5 million to rehabilitate its aging infrastructure in the Wabash Valley.

Indiana American Water, a subsidiary of American Water, announced in a news release it has replaced more that a mile of aging water mains and rehabilitated the Riley water tower.

It invested $1.7 million last year over the course of nine projects in the area to improve the reliability and quality of water service to customers while also enhancing fire protection capabilities.

 ’This investment in our water system replaces aging pipe that, in may cases, has outlived its usefulness, and extended the service life of a water storage tank, ensuring that our customers continue to receive quality, reliable water service for many years to come,’ Indiana American Water President Deborah Dewey said…”
