Greenwood High School students win grand prize in ‘Call 811′ national safety contest

“Greenwood High School students Maggie Campbell and May Fry took home the grand prize in a video contest held by the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Safety Administration (PHMSA) and the National Energy Foundation. Their video was selected as the best of 49 video submissions in a contest designed to promote safety with the slogan, “Know what’s below. Call 811 before you dig.”

For their winning submission Campbell and Fry each won a laptop and an $811 scholarship. Their teacher, Johnathan Everett, will also receive an $811 mini-grant for his classroom. Students from Western Wayne High School and Nativity BVM Catholic High School in Pennsylvania were among…”
