Cheyenne, WY(KGWN)- Natural gas crews were able to get the gas stopped after digging up the service line and squeezing it off. The line was leaking for about two hours while crews and Cheyenne Fire and Rescue, made the scene safe by evacuating the home and nearby residents. At 6:45pm the work was complete and the gas was restored.
The contractor had locations which were good, however dug too close to the location without hand digging.
A reminder before doing any digging at your home you must call 811 to locate proper areas.
